We are always seeking exceptional talent in several roles, including:

  • Case Manager – Primary point of contact to clients, insurance companies, and medical service providers.  Responsible for the day-to-day processing of legal cases.
  • Legal Assistant – Provides administrative and project support to Case Managers.
  • Paralegal – Provides support to attorneys by performing legal functions for the Litigation Department.
  • Receptionist – Answers incoming phone calls and directs callers to the appropriate staff.  Greets and welcomes office visitors and directs them appropriately.
  • Intake Specialist – Responsible for the initial meeting with prospective clients and gathers appropriate information to address clients’ immediate legal needs.

Attorney – Plaintiff / Personal Injury

We are a Plaintiff’s personal injury law office looking for a top-level Attorney. We are not “just another” personal injury law firm. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Formulate strategy in litigation
• Assess liability and damages and develop documentation required for a successful resolution of cases.
• Handle motions, arbitrations, and jury trials

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• California Bar membership in good standing
• 3+ years of personal injury litigation experience

Settlement Negotiator

PURPOSE OF POSITION

Manage the settlement processing functions in all P/I case. Responsible for ensuring that the appropriate settlements are received from the insurance carrier in a timely manner. Resolving all settlements for both Sub-In and Sub-Out cases and ensuring the firm’s attorney liens are protected.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Main Activities

  • Manage the settlement services process with insurance companies to ensure smooth and efficient workflow. Communicating with Demand Writer to ensure demand is received by the current adjuster.  Following up with handling adjuster to ensure all bills and records are accounted for and tabulated.  Ensure that all wage loss is also accounted for and tabulated.
  • If the claim adjuster does not make a fair initial offer, prepare and submit a counter offer and continue with negotiations until a fair and reasonable offer is reached. Communicate and coordinate with Case File Managers to ensure client has provided authorization to settle or authorization to negotiate.
  • Research and apply the Personal Injury law applicable to cases, Sub-In/Sub-Out matters, and statutory liens.
  • Review and understand MRI reports, medical reports, and medical bills with Health Insurance, Medi-Cal, and/or Medicare adjustments and offsets.  Coordinate and communicate with lien negotiators to determine final liens and communicate such to handling adjusters.
  • Review all settlement releases to ensure the client’s rights are protected.
  • Forward cases to litigation team, if a fair and reasonable settlement is not reached in pre-litigation.
  • Strong understanding of policy limits.
  • Communicate with clients and Case File Managers to determine breadth and scope of client’s pain and suffering to be conveyed to the handling adjuster in negotiations.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

The following knowledge, skills, and abilities may be acquired through a combination of formal schooling, self-education, prior experience, or on-the-job training:

  • 3+ year of experience in reviewing personal injury cases (moving vehicle accidents, slip and fall, dog bites, and premises liability) and able to aggressively negotiate and obtain a fair and reasonable settlement amount.
  • 2+ years of prior insurance adjuster experience required preferably with a well-known carrier such as Farmers, State Farm, Geico, Liberty Mutual, Allstate, or the like.
  • Negotiating a personal injury settlement can be a stressful and drawn-out process but you need to maintain the upper hand with the adjuster and adept the traits of patience and constructive persistence.
  • Excellent understanding of MRI reports, medical bills, and medical reports.
  • Ability to be persistent and not allow settlement negotiations to come to a standstill. Be persistent in moving the claim forward.
  • Analytical ability sufficient to analyze documents recorded in connection with Personal Injury claim.
  • Creative negotiation approaches in order maximize client’s recovery and firm legal fees.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, meets deadlines, organize workload and maintain accurate files.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, in person and by telephone.

OTHER DUTIES

  • Communicate regularly with our Social Media team for involvement in our marketing efforts.

Receptionist (English and Mandarin Speaker)

PURPOSE OF POSITION

Operates multi-line telephone system to answer incoming calls, directs callers to appropriate personnel. Serves visitors by greeting, welcoming, and directing them appropriately; notifies company personnel of visitor arrival.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Main Activities

  1. Answers incoming telephone calls, determines purpose of calls, and forward calls to appropriate personnel or department.
  2. Takes and delivers messages or transfers calls to voice mail when appropriate personnel are unavailable.
  3. Answers questions about organization and provides callers with address, directions, and other information.
  4. Welcomes on-site visitors, determines nature of business, and announces visitors to appropriate personnel.
  5. Maintains safe and clean reception area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  6. Orders and maintain an adequate inventory of office supplies. Keep office supply organize
