Yesenia Acosta

Criminal Defense and Immigration Attorney

Yesenia Acosta focuses her practice primarily within the area of Immigration Law and Criminal Defense Law.  She manages a legal department that handles a diverse range of cases including criminal defense, deportation defense, and post-conviction relief.  She is sought out as an expert in “crimmigration,” overcoming the immigration consequences of criminal pleas.  To implement a top-level defense, Attorney Acosta prides herself in using every tool at our Firm’s disposal to establish her clients’ innocence and protect their freedom and reputation from over-zealous prosecutors.  She is also involved in consultations with our Personal Injury and Workers’ Compensation pre-litigation teams to protect all of her clients’ legal rights.

Attorney Acosta is a member in good standing of the State Bar of California.  She has been recognized by Super Lawyers’ Magazine for three years in a row as a top attorney and “Rising Star.” Outside of the courtroom, Attorney Acosta serves as the only attorney on the Board of Directors for the San Gabriel Valley Consortium on Homelessness.  She frequently leads workshops for professional organizations and community members on different legal topics, in both English and Spanish.  In 2016, she was awarded a Congressional Leadership Award by the Office of Congresswoman Judy Chu for her advocacy on behalf of vulnerable populations. Ms. Acosta stands out as a committed attorney who works to promote justice both inside and outside of the courtroom.

In her free time, Attorney Acosta enjoys hiking and biking with her husband and son.  She enjoys traveling to different countries, and each year, she visits her parents, who are retired and now live in Mexico.
