The inauguration of President Biden as the 46th president of the United States marks the beginning of a shift in the immigration policies.

Last Friday, President-elect Joe Biden announced that he will immediately pursue immigration legislation upon his inauguration.

Late last Friday, a federal judge in New York issued a ruling directing the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to fully restore Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) to the state it existed in prior to the Trump administration's attempt to end the program
