[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Rain is in the forecast overnight Thursday and in to Friday afternoon, possibly creating dangerous driving conditions throughout Southern California.  Rainy weather typically causes a dramatic increase in the number of car accidents that occur on the freeway system. Fortunately for most Southern Californians, we will only be experiencing rain.  The residents of some states on the east coast will have much worse conditions to brave, and we hope they weather the storm safely.  We are lucky enough to rarely have icy weather on most of our roadways, but the storm this past Sunday was one of those exceptions.  Numerous crashes were reported throughout the area involving icy conditions, including several multi-car incidents on the Pearblossom Highway, including a 20-car pileup. A brief reminder of how to drive safely in rainy weather:
  • Drive slower
  • Slow down sooner
  • Avoid following other vehicles too closely
  • Turn on your headlights
  • Do not use your brights
  • Avoid standing water
  • Ensure your vehicle is ready for rain
